Welcome to the 2025-2026 AA Alkathon

Welcome the San Mateo County Alcoholics Anonymous Annual Holiday Alkathon!


Meeting Hosts Needed!  Please Sign Up Below.


The San Mateo County Alkathon was started over 50 years ago to provide round the clock meetings at the end of the year during the holidays of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. 2025/26 meetings will be every even hour on the following days: 


  • Thanksgiving  - Wed, Nov 26, 12PM - Fri, Nov 28, 12PM
  • Christmas  - Wed, Dec 24, 12PM - Fri, Dec 26, 12PM 
  • New Year’s  - Wed, Dec 31, 12PM - Fri, Jan 2, 12PM


This year's Alkathon will be held in-person at 5th and O’Neill (1300 5th Ave, Belmont). Each meeting is 90 mins. The first meeting starts at Noon on the first day and the last meeting starts at Noon on the last day.

San Mateo Alkathon: Group Meeting Host Sign Ups!

San Mateo Alkathon is Community Participation

 If your Home Group is interested in hosting a meeting, fill out the meeting participation form by clicking the link to the right. Your submission must be received by Saturday, October 25, 2025 at  8 a.m. A random lottery drawing of all group submissions will take place on Sunday, October 26,  2025.  Lottery details to follow. There is a request to try and make the drawing a hybrid event,  stay tuned details will be posted on the web page.  If you are interesting in helping facilitate an in person drawing - please email us.

2026 - 2027 Alkathon Committee Lead Nominations

The Alkathon is made possible by a group of trusted servant leaders. In accordance with the 9th Tradition of rotational leadership, the Alkathon Committee is seeking volunteers to organize the Alkathon for the upcoming year (2026-2027). Please nominate yourself or a friend to be a leader for next year’s Alkathon. Voting for next year's Alkathon's trusted servants will be held Friday, December 26 at 1:30PM at 5th and O'Neill.
