This year, all meetings for the Alkathon will be hosted in-person at 5th and O'Neill (1300 5th Avenue, Belmont).
Your home group will be responsible for the timeslot selected in the drawing. That includes providing a secretary, speaker, literature volunteer, and 2-3 greeters/coffee pourers, and general housekeeping. Scripts and money collection cans will be provided. Secretary Script and Host Meeting Guide can be found on the Resources Page
The Alkathon will be providing literature. We ask each group have a Literature Person who can help distribute literature and collect funds for books sold. These funds should be handed to the secretary at the end of each meeting.
This year the oven will not be available in the church. Similar to last year, we ask that all groups bring ready made food (packaged or home cooked) and then take it home / throw it out after their meeting.
No. If you sign up for all 3 holidays, it means you are available for all 3. The schedule will be created based on a random drawing that will be held on Oct 20. We have ensured that each group that has registered is scheduled to host at least one meeting.
We will hold a lottery on October 20, 2024 @5pm on zoom, where timeslots will be given randomly through a lottery. Join the fun if you can! Need not be present to get a timeslot; we'll let everyone know through email and publish on the Schedule page.
